The Little Red Hen by the Superstar Snakes

Today we made our own show for the Superstar Snake's blog. The story is about a Little Red Hen. She wanted to grow some wheat. She wanted to turn it into bread. The farmer's wife turned it into bread. The story is about helping other people and working together.

Term 3 - We're Back!

It was lovely to see the Superstar Snakes back at school!
We were excited to see our friends, share our holiday news, and start learning and having fun!
Look what we got up to this week...

Our story this week has been "Battle of the Mountains" - a Maori legend about 4 mountains who try to win Pihanga to be their bride. They have a battle and Tongariro wins.
We recreated the story by making volcanoes out of sand and using baking soda and vinegar to make them errupt! We had lots of fun and learned lots.

This term we have a 'Dinosaur World' in our class - we have been learning about the different dinosaurs and what they looked like!

Maori Language Week

This week was Maori Language Week. We have celebrated this by learning a song and lots of different words. Watch our video and let us know if you like it!

Goldilocks and the Three Bears

This week our story was 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears'. We have had a lot of fun reading, retelling and acting out the story. We ate porridge just like the Three Bears!

Environment Day with the Superstar Snakes

Today was 'Environment Day'.
We talked about ways we could look after our environment, and made a pledge - see it here!
We also recycled our classroom rubbish into some 'Rubbish Monsters' - tell us what you think! :)
